I always thought they were! Except you cannot have more than one _active_ at a time with SET DATABASE TO.

I think to use mmultiple databases you would have to use the DATABASE!TABLE notation when opening your tables to make sure they come from the appropriate database.

NOTE that I haven't tried this, because so far I've only needed one database container per aplication. Small applications I suppose.
