So some go to one, some go to the other, some don't go to either, and a few go to both.

The thing is, some other-than-VFP programmers might be interested in hearing something about VFP. They will not go to DevCon. They might go to TechEd. They will not hear about VFP at TechEd.

Also, from a marketing standpoint, there should be some VFP visibility at a gathering of many programmers.

This idea just furthers the image that VFP programmers are "off on their own."

Also, what do the people who say you should know several languages have to say? If you can only go to one conference or the other, you will only be able to get VFP training or non-VFP training.
