NEED HELP WITH GDI ERROR IN VFP
We are running VFP5 application. All APPS and executable files are
locating on the client machine and all the data files are locating on
the Server. We have VB program running prior to VFP application that checks if anynew apps on the server and if it is it will copy a new apps to the client.
Our reports designed in the VFP report designer. User can run them in
the preview mode or print mode. All of our users start getting
"Thisprogram has performed an illegal operation..." messages any time
they print toscreen or to printer. When they've got this message there
is a detail button which shows "... caused a general protection fault
in module GDI.EXE at..." and it is gives the information about registers and so on.
We downloaded a new Service Pack 2 for Visual Studio. And rebuild VBlibrary.
It seems help our user for a few days but then the problem came back.
Some times the computer gets completely locked up and users have toreboot their system. It happened on WIN95 and WIN98 platform more than on NT.
If any one experiencing the problem like that or has any idea what is
going on and knows how to work around this issue, please help us.
