You might want to check files=xx in config.nt. Ought to be at least 90. Just a thought.

HTH,
Rich.

>Right, sorry, Optiplex. The message is "Insufficient Memory" and it occurs immediately when you double-click an .exe compiled in vfp 3.0. This is occuring on the Optiplex "clean", meaning right out of the box. The run time libraries for vfp 3 ARE on the machine and in the path. The message occurs so fast it doesn't appear that vfp is even getting started. We have another machine, a Compaq, which is right out of the box, with the same run time files for vfp 3 on the machine, configured the same as the Optiplex (same config.fpw, etc.) and it works fine. Does Dell put something into the NT setup differently than other vendors? "special" DLLs, or anything? We've looked through memory settings, etc. of the Optiplex but don't see anything out of the ordinary. It just seems strange to me that the same setup works on another machine, but the two Optiplexes we have both will not work with vfp 3.0 compiled exe's although their configuration "appears" to be the same as other machines

>>Hi John,
>> You probably mean Optiplex. It is not the machine, the problem is most likely in the configuration or the VFP installation. When exactly do you get the message and what is the exact text of the message?
>> I use primarily Dell Optiplexes and they are extremely reliable.
