Yes my resource is on and set to the correct file. In the debugger I do a "sys(2008)" and a "set('resource'). Seems for some reason that the BROWSE clause wants the NORMAL clause, for the PREFERENCE to work in my app. It is working different in my app than in the command window, then again my app is not the command window (boy that would be an easy project).

Another question, alot off the subject. When a BROWSE window is closed with the close button, is there a way to programmatically know that. I tried to see if the LASTKEY = 23 (ctrl+w), but got inconsistent results. Any ideas.

>Do you have SET RESOURCE OFF in your code? I believe that BROWSE preferences are stored in FOXUSER.DBF only when SET RESOURCE is ON.
