With all this talk about whether use of VFP is increasing or decreasing, I think a metric needs to be established...I think a good metric would be circulation figues for FoxTalk and FoxPro Advisor.
In the Jan '99 issue of FPA, there is a circulation notice that shows average 12 month figure as well as for the single month of October 98 (this is on Page 52 for anyone interested)...
If you look real carefully, you see the average circulation for the past 12 months (Nov 97 - Oct 98 presumably) was 14,369 but the single-issue circulation for Oct 98 is 13,400. This is a decline.
Dealer/vendor sales: 1,501 avg, 1,260 for Oct 98 (decline)
Total distribution: 10,357 avg, 9,593 for Oct 98 (decline)
These numbers don't look good. Can anybody provide similar numbers for other years or for FoxTalk?
