Hi Fred,
Let's *assume* that your assertion is correct and 'M$ is scared of VFP'.
Wouldn't this show even poorer judgement than even the most critical MS basher would attribute to them??? - they could try to sell their bigger, fancier (read: much more expensive and very very complex) solution and, if that looks like a loser, bring in VFP to virtually assure the sale.
More seriously, MS has lots of products that compete with each other and that doesn't stop them from marketing them, upgrading them, responding to customer wants/needs, etc.
Finally, it's just another theory that lets MS off the hook. We will only know what the REAL situation is when we let MS speak for itself.
