trying to hook up 2 pc's with a null modem cable and using foxpro to send data through the com port on one machine and receive the information on the 2nd pc using foxpro.
We start using the dos mode command with the following parameters on both pc's:
mode com1: 9600,n.8,1,p
I then issue a=fopen('com1',12)
My return code is 7
I then issue b=fget(a,'hi')
This causes me to hang!! Why???
I am using foxpro 2.5 for dos on both machines.
