In that case, I tend to agree with John Petersen. In order to do a true comparison without the VFP cheat (as any other SQL engine would do it), use the FORCE key word in your SELECT statement to force VFP to create a new cursor. Additionally, the aggregate functions (avg(), min(), max(), sum(), count()) are not optimized by the ODBC driver.
