>>I see Tech-ed as a forum for Microsoft to teach developers how to use products, and just as importantly, expose a product as the logical solution for a certain range of problems. VFP is a great tools for a lot of situations, but everyone attending tech-ed now knows that Microsoft doesn't think it's the best choice for any, or else they would have shown it.

VFP has had tech-eds in the past with a larger number of sessions which ahd minimal attendance (the people who go to tech-ed aren't there for VFP). As any conference manager would do, the subjects that had no interest (people in the room) last year get less time this year. When that trend continues the subject is eventually eliminated from the agenda.

I think my rant was more broadly based. It just struck a nerve because there is no reason that VFP attendance is not higher accept that MS has made little effort to show the development community as a whole that VFP is a good solution. NOthing new to that complaint. I agree with you about the reason there are no Tech-ed sessions, I was just pointing out that it is s symptom of a larger problem.
