I think he doesn't want to set the windowtype to modal, or he wouldn't need to "simulate" it :) I guess you could do the same idea, anyway, with Alwaysontop, disabling menu & toolbars while form active...don't ask me why he can't just use a modal form, though, that I can't say.. :)
