If anything the DBC gives you more control and helps you have everything in orderly manner
I can't imagine using VFP for any serious database without using a DBC - if you have a lot of tables with lotso of relations and no RI the posibilities for orphan records and genral total chaos is much bigger.


btw, any DBMS on the market has these features of trigggers,RI etc.
