I think if you have learned other visual languages, you won't find it all the different. At least this is my experience not that I am learning VB... it seems familiar.

Without object oriented programming VFP is not all that hard to learn. The steep learning curve is when you learning OOP for the first time. With VFP you are not required to learn OOP to develop software but it will pay off immensely if you do.
