This is a problem inherent in the way that MS has implemented ActiveX controls. The only easy way around it is to add your control at runtime with CREATEOBJECT() so the version is resolved at runtime. Otherwise the control version is stored in the form.
Keep in mind also, that just because you solved it on your machine, doesn't mean oyur users won't also have versioning problems.
