Randy,

What version of VFP? In VFP5 if I set a TextBox.Enabled=.f. it will not get focus so none of When, GotFocus, Valid, LostFocus events will occur. Perhaps you mean ReadOnly = .t. those events still all fire, it's just that can not alter the content of the field.
