Can anyone help !

I have a remote view in VFP 6 that looks at a table held in SQL Server 7. The column is a nvarchar(8). If I enter a 3 letter code into this column and perform a tableupdate() command, it sends the update. Fine. I requery the view to see the newly entered record and browse it, I see that at position 8 of the column a square appears. It has an ascii value of 0.

Am I doing something wrong ?
