I'm rebuilding the entire app from scratch, as there are other problems, but I think I the only fix I found for the one you mention is to replace each afflicted textbox. Just delete the old one, and add a new one from your class or vfp base, and restore whatever PEMs you need to...

FYI - I deleted and readded the boxes, still the same problem. Seems my greying of textboxes was becuase they were ontop of a shape. I used a rectangle to group fields. Tried copying the textboxes to a container (just want the border of the container), but the grey came back. Even after I deleted the container the grey stayed. Had to readd the textboxes then use lines to group the fields. This solved my problem.
