I am trying to decide what to recommend for a client ... build or buy a new EDI solution. The EDI demands of this client are going to be very small and I was wondering if anybody here has had experience with coding/decoding the EDI documents. If so, could you share your experiences and bad/good things about doing it yourself without having to buy those very expensive and flaky Translators/Mappers out there? Are there any links to sites that concentrate on the *programming* aspect of EDI (and not all of the marketing/standards hype I've gotten already)?
