Hi Jim,

I have an old Hacker's Guide (from 3.0) & haven't gotten the new one. I assume the online download you're talking about can only be downloaded if you bought the book?

>I positively HATE online books, my total experience having been the MS variety of their product manuals. Most particularly I abhor the modal box which pops up with additional choices but never lets you go directly back to it to select the NEXt one in the list.
>Anyway, they seem to have beat THAT problem with their (Hacker's) version, as I have yet to encounter such a situation (my usage, though, has been moderate, not heavy).

>Another nice thing is that their "See also"s are right there on the page without necessity (as now happens with MS Help) usage of the BACK button to get back to the original page.

>I agree by the way that Hentzenwerkes made the correct choice. I do think they would have done themselves a big favor by making their decision option quite a bit clearer. I just didn't 'get' the explanation offered UNTIL I SAW THE ACTUAL BOOK.

>>We just got a copy of the new Hackers Guide, and when I pulled it out of the box my jaw hit the floor. This is one HUGE book!!! Man who needs aerobics when you own this sucker, I could get a full upper body workout just lifting this a few times a day! < bg > I do believe we should call this the official Mother of all VFP Reference Books.
>>
>>Way-to-go Hentzenwerke... Now that I see how big this book ended up being I see why you opted to print a larger book and loose the CD.
