>In a way I can understand the frustration all of you may or may not have about this topic. However for a new comer to Fox like myself it is at times very dificult to find the answers to the many question I may be having about writing programs, accessing data, user interface, and general functions of Fox that are not in the books.

You may have read some threads fro recommendations for books. There is 1 book that documents every function and command in VFP, and that is the Hacker's Guide. It is over 900 pages! And these are not normal size pages you would find in most books. THe pages are 8 1/2" x 11" [i.e., letter size paper]. If you but the book from Hentzenwerke, you can download the electronic files including a .CHM file to use like an HTML Help file. There was a thread on how to do this on Monday or Tuesday of this week (see the *Hacker's Guide... WOW!* thread from any of the past 3 days).

Hacker's tells you how a function is advertised to work, how it really works, gotchas, bugs and cool features. The first 150 pages are regular chapters. Then comes the commands, functions, features, etc.

You can find info on the books in the Partnership are here on the UT. You can also go to www.hentzenwerke.com.
