I've got an interesting problem and am looking for the reason for its occurence.
I am receiving an ascii file with 500,000 records. I know the format before hand as well. I check for room on my hard drive. If I have it I create a cursor otherwise I go to the network and create a table on the network drive where the file is sitting. (I know for a fact that there is room there without checking!!)

The next step is to open the table and issue the APPEND FROM command

The error I got, after almost a hour of working, was #1105 - Error writing to file.

WHY?? Any ideas?
