Hi Brenda,
In the general case a .CDX has the same name as the associated table, the suffix (.DBF/,CDX) being the difference.
I assume you have a typo here, the command being "DELETE TAG ALL OF TABLENAME>CDX. Are you sure that the table in question is the selected (active) table? Since you are naming the .CDX file in the command, if the actual selected table is not the same one and has a TAG of the same name as you are trying to create, this error would result.
