I'll throw my 2 cents in. I fell into FoxPro about 1993. I like it and I'll use it until I'm forced to do otherwise. I've been writing software for the Navy the last 2 1/2 years. My customer at Fleet Support is always impressed to see what VFP is able to produce. He's informed me that its popularity has increased at Fleet Support over the last year. There are VFP developers in civil service, however, the trend is to continue hiring outside contractors, which is good for me. All of this has been an up hill climb. It's taken some convincing and confidence building for my customer to feel comfortable with VFP. There are still too many memories of FoxPro's near disappearance.
Aside from enjoying VFP, the time and energy I've invested is something that's not easy for me to let go of lightly. Most of the time I'm too busy to follow closely whats happening with VFP around the world. So, I guess I'll just hope for the best and keep working. If were determined to stay with VFP, what else can we do?
