Kind of interesting isn't it? I was just thinking the same thing a while
back. If you look around it seems everything but VB and VC and Oracle is
dying out...
For Powerbuilder I think the problem is that we're past the client/server
stage which PB stood for. PB is not a good tool for multi-tier development,
which is the latest rage.
Actually, looking at all of this I think this is pretty bad. Things are
getting more and more skewed towards Microsoft. Even Borland tools are
on the decline although Borland/Inprise continue to hammer out excellent
tools (the latest version of C++ builder in particular is pretty damn
well balanced).
