The error message gives some clue about what happened, and while it probably won't identify the missing components, it'll at least confirm what caused the registration attempt to fail.

It's likely a missing or incorrect version of a .DLL that the .OCX requires. Did your vendore indicate that there were other files associated with the .OCX?
