My company just tried upgrading a server from 256MB to 512MB. Part of the upgrade was also to install NT Service Pack 4. We run VFP 3.0 on it because many of the apps need to be accessed from Macintoshes, and converting them to HTML or ActiveDocs hasn't been a priority. When we booted up, VFP wouldn't start. We could see the Microsoft splash screen for a moment, but then a messagebox came up saying "Insufficient Memory". We tried adding some SYS(3050) calls in the main Config.fpw file to lower the foreground and background buffer settings, but no dice.

We powered down and took one of the two SDRAM sticks out, and VFP runs fine with 384 MB.

I checked MS KB, and didn't find anything on this (for 3.0). Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

Bernie
