Marcus,
We currently have Fox 2.5 apps running under CDOS (Cocurrent DOS) version 3.06 or higher. As mentioned before, the extended version of Fox won't run because of the way the OS allocates memory to each session (there's no DPMI available).
Again referring to CDOS 3.06 (pretty sure that on older versions too), the disk format is plain ol' DOS format (FAT16), no problem accessing disk files on another DOS machine.
The same company (Concurrent Controls) developed MDOS (same platform) that supports DPMI and runs Fox extended just fine. Actually, we upgraded most of our clients in question to MDOS, but there are still a few that run the old CDOS version.
HTH
>I have to convert a system using foxpro 2.5 (?) on CDOS. Is this compatible with MS-DOS? Can I just bring a laptop down and copy his harddrive or does CDOS use some special disk format that I won't be able to read? Thanks for any help on this old subject.
