I have a table file that lists valid users. In the update trigger, I have hand-coded RI. It does a cascade update to the 4 tables that contain user code. I am wrapping this in a transaction. What actually happens on tableupdate? I am concerned the trigger updates will encounter locked records. What happens to the transaction if the trigger fails?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
