Hi Barbara,
Yes, I have tried all the tricks I can think of - but the problem is that there are two solutions - and the one i want just isnt' available: The 'blank line' is printed, i.e. the paper in the printer advancec one line up, without anything being printed on that line. Or, tha system detects 'do not print if blank', and does not move the paper, as nothing is to be printed. Now, I want to move the paper one or more lines up at will- whenever conditions satisfy my requirements.
If i check the 'remove if blank' box, there are noe way that I can get the printer to insert a blank line at the same position - unless I insert a character, anyrthing between 00h and FFh, except for CR/LF - which is interreted as blank.
But interestingly enough, a blank (space br, 32h) inserted as the first and only character in a memo field tests as 'nonblank', - but will not 'print'
I really have spent weeks trying to device a method - but with no success.
The probelm I am trying to solve, is printing two identical forms on the same page. But - teh number of lines printed on the upper form varies, and i want to insert blank lines between the two forms to balance, so that the seconf form always starts at the same positoion.
Rolf
