I have two approaches: if the stuff can be done with the VFP report writer, I use VFP report writer. If users want a file instead of printed paper, then they can install the Adobe PDF writer. If works beautifully (see www.adobe.com for more details, I bought it as a part of Adobe Exchange). By the way, version 4 of Adobe Exchange is about to be released and seems promising. Well, at least, it shows some commitment from Adobe to the PDF format...

Second, if it can't be done in VFP, it sure can be in Word with OLE automation.
