Ken,
My experience with drop-down lists is that you cannot *add* a value to the listitems from the control, like a combo box. The value may be NULL (or anything else not contained in the list) in the bound field, but you cannot select it from the list. If the bound field is a value not in the list selections, the control is considered to have no selection (ListIndex = 0). It may display a blank, but it is not a NULL value.
