To Sylvia, and Rod Paddock, and John Peterson, and anyone else who is tired of the "Fox is dead" threads,

There are hundreds of messages posted to the Universal Thread every day. I think it is safe to say that we, as intelligent and discerning professionals, chan pick and choose which threads are interesting to us and which ones are better off left unread.

In short, if you're tired of reading this thread, then DON'T READ IT! If I don't like something on TV, I change the channel. If I don't care about something in the newspaper, I put that section in the recycling bin. If I'm not interested in the topic being discussed on a particular thread here, I don't bother reading it, and move on to something which does interest me.

The fact that the doomsayer threads seem to be the ones which get the most responses (including yours and mine), and seem to last the longest, seems to indicate that there is still room here for a free and open debate about the future of FoxPro. If you want to join in the debate and make a positive contribution, then I'll look forward to reading your message. If not, there's about 300 other messages that will be here tomorrow for you to read, or not. Either way, I look forwared to reading your posts, if they concern something which I want to know about. I hope you will think the same of mine, Jim Nelson's, Bill Anderson's, and the other 22000+ members who may or may not have something to contribute.
