>I've encountered this on several newer machines (233's and 300's with AGP cards) - everything runs smoothly, but when my FPD app exits, the task doesn't exit gracefully. It leaves the desktop painted in one color (color seems to be randomly picked among the brighter ones from the palette of 16 or 256 default colors), no mouse, no desktop. The machine is still working - in case it's a (peer-to-peer) server, the workstations happily run apps off its disks.

Sat by one of these machines yesterday and tried some more, so I can supply some additional info. This doesn't necessarily happen on exit - it happens, sometimes, when I alt-tab from a FPD app to the desktop. Ctrl+alt+del shows (not right away, it takes time to show up) that the explorer window showing the links to the DOS batch files (where the app is started from) is not responding. Killing it helped once, but next time the system completely hanged.
Was this some more informative, or am I having a probably hardware-related problem?
