I am using an ATI rage pro on one of my systems, and still have a few 2.6 apps running on it. FP 2.6 is known to have problems on machines than run faster than 300 MHZ. You might want to give a look at the VFP stuff available at www.abri.com.

They offer a free patch that will make VFP start 'slow" and avoid the GPF.
