There are a number of things that can produce C5 errors in production (corruption of records in FOXUSER, the DCOM-related app shutdown error with a CONFIG.FPW starting with _SCREEN=OFF, or improper use of DLL declarations can all produce an operating system level C5 error for both the runtime and apps run under the development environment.)
