>I don't know how it is with Access, but in VFP you can exclude the reports from the exe so the user can modify them visually as long as they use the same data. As long as you don't copy over a new report, you won't clobber their changes.

For a custom report writer like the one described, I'd recommend FoxFire! It's advertised in the classifieds of this forum.
