Yes, you must add 8M only for VFP if you have only 8M. :) Don't even think about working with VFP if you don't have at least 16M. It's like you want to train your patience and your ability to reset your computer. :)

Even with 16M VFP acts a little weird when you try to develop a medium app.

As Arnon said: double any requirements you read on the box. :( Usually, the minimum requirements are for installation and starting the program. :(
