In the connection string put DBQ=c:\mypath\mydatabase.mdb I don't know where they got DBQ, but that's what you need to use. If you use DATABASE it doesn't complain but it does prompt for the database.
>Hello,
>I've created a VFP DBC with 2 remote views in VFP 5.0 that point to an Access.mdb database. The conection string, when verified through the Remote View designer, functions correctly, however, whenever I open each view, I am presented with a Select Database dialog box. After selecting the mdb everything functions okay. Obviously, from the user's perspective, this is not acceptable.
>Why doesn't VFP just open the view and know which database the view is based on? Did I miss something?
>Any help would be appreciated.
