Had to dig deep for this one. I was (and still am) running REPORT FORM when a grid has the focus. In my case, I'm running the report from DblClick() of a grid cell.
MSKB article Q185628 outlines why this doesn't work as expected (with VFP 3.x and 5.x, anyways). I implemented one of the suggested workarounds and all is OK now.
