Also no slouch is the MS vfp6 LR, if you haven't seen it yet. It's 3 times the size of the vfp5 LR, and full of examples, actually quite useful now, for those times when you need a hard copy, and it's a good complement to Hacker's...Of course, now it costs $50 or so :)
