I had the same problem and a thread on the UT said to check for these files: mfc30.dll, mfc40.dll, olepro32.dll, msvcrt40.dll and msvcrt20.dll are in the registry and in the windows system directory.
I was missing olepro32.dll, once added my app worked fine.
