But, then again, I really like to drive and want to see the Mojave desert. Who knows? If I can get a cable hook up out there I just might become a desert trailer denizen!

Who needs cable? Within a couple of years you can get your own uplink for about the same money. I like living in remote areas (not that I'm antisocial *g*) and plan to stop daily commuting as soon as I can get bandwidth at home at a reasonable cost. Check out Skybridge ( http://www.skybridgesatellite.com/ ) and Teledesic ( http://www.teledesic.com ) and then go pick out your trailer!
