>I am fairly new to VFP6, having used 2.5 and 5 a lot, I thought there would be no problem making a stand alone app. Testing the exe on my workstation it runs, I install it, (curtosey of the install wizard) on a different machine, try to run it and get the following 'invalid path or file name' followed by a gpf, illeagel operation, exception c0000026 in kernal32.dll. I have gone through all the code and removed explict path to VFP from it, moved the bmp and msk to the project dir, still cannot get it to run on our test bed. Help!

How was the application installed? if all you did was copy files, rather than creating a Setup Wizard install with the latest version of Setup Wizard (there have been patches for it posted on Microsoft's Web page for a while now), it's more than likely missing part of the VFP runtime environment, or one or more of the common components on the system were not upgraded to a late enough version.
