Welcome to the worst part of VFP, next to the view designer.

To create multi detail segments you have to combine the data into a temporary cursor or file first. Then add multiple group bars untill you get to the real detail.

A report to show employee pay over the year by position held. The detail is the pay check records. The group bars are the 1) Emp_ID, 2) Job_ID, 3) Check_ID.

Try This:

Group Band 1 = Emp_ID
Fields here that are all about the Employee, name address etc.

Group Band 2 = Job_Id
Fields here are job description, time held, supervisor, etc.

Group Band 3 = Check_Id
When received, $ paid, Taxes paid, deductions

You can then subtotal in the check ID, Job ID and Employee ID footers.
