Thanks a lot everybody! Finally got it. I changed the field name from Type to Category, changed the ORDER BY to 1 and tried putting quotes around the statement (although I have done dozens of them without it). Nothing worked. So I deleted the control from the form and put it in again, with the table change in place. Works like a charm now.
I really appreciate all the help . . .
