I am using VFP 5.0 and have encountered the following problem. I am using views to buffer the database and have put validation rules on the fields of the view. I have created an error handler to process errors on the form and would like this error handler to display the field validation rule message and position the cursor on the field which caused the error. I cannot find the function which will return the name of the field which caused the error. I thought that aerror() would return this information, but it appears that both elements 2 and 3 contain the field validation rule message text. SYS(2018) also contains this text. Short of putting the name of the field in the validation rule message, and parsing it out, is their a way to determine the offending field?
