if century were set off and a 21st century date were typed in the system would know that the system date was the 21st century .
Incidentally, Jim, this problem still exists in vfp5. I found this out during Y2K testing - with system date set past 2000, vfp5 was still putting '19' in front of 2-digit dates. Vfp6 has resolved this...
