It's not flakey, you just have to know exactly whatyou are doing when you issue it. If there is no cursor selected, or the cursor selected is not buffered, you will get this error message. That's it's a good idea to specify the alias.

I have been using VFP for just over 2 years now, and I still learn something nearly every day. Except for days that I spend reading "VFP is Dead" threads. I get stupider on those days.
