Take a lok at the ALTER TABLE command; the RENAME COLUMN clause should handle this for you. Realize that if you have indexes on the field, they'll get broken when you rename - it's best to drop the tags which rely on the old name before renaming the column, and then re-add the tags to the index programmatically afterwards.
