Hi,

I am wasting too much time coming to grips with this subjet. It is the most difficult I have experienced since hand assembling code for the Motorola 6800 processor - back in 1976.

Now, as I soon will be 69, maybe it just is senility, but please see if you can give me a hand with a few code snippets.

What I try to do is simple enough, and over the last few days I have found some of the answers I've been seeking. But here is the current, and hopefully, one of the last problems:

Mail merge macros is no problem, but I just can't find a way of looking at the data in my VFP dbf-file from inside the macro. I know it is possible, and it shouldn't be that difficult, but I just can't find out how. I use the example shown in the help file, to create a message box to display the contents of a field in the .dbf, but have not been able to find any working syntax or coding.

The merge, as i said, works fine, the data are inserted in the active document.
